Coffee with Coops was born from all the 1:1 chats I have with delegates and the audience when I finish a corporate training, talk, workshop, or webinar. I wanted an easy way to reach more people and a wider audience. I want to be your support as we navigate the ups and downs of positive psychology, Mental Wealth, and personal development.

I closed my corporate newsletter last year as CHAMPS (my wellbeing biz) evolved into Ruth Cooper-Dickson Limited. This is my way to have a closer, more direct relationship with readers, clients, and all the brilliant people I get to train and teach each year. Yes, I am talking about you. Hello! 👋 My aim is to make this a personal space and bring together a community from all areas I work within. About me

I’m an award-winning qualified positive psychology practitioner, accredited trauma-informed wellbeing coach and certified breathwork leader.  I published my academic research on coaching and post-traumatic growth in 2023. This is an area I am hugely passionate about. It is the essence of how my Thrivership Coaching™️ supports others to grow and flourish, after experiencing adversity and pain.

I started my corporate wellbeing business eight years ago after my own experience of poor mental health and mental ill-health diagnosis - generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder and chronic burnout. This journey has led me to (amongst other things) teaching Mental Health First Aid England training, grief and loss training with the bereavement charity CRUSE, I’m a patron of the national anxiety charity No Panic, and I’m always involved in Mental Wealth advocacy projects and campaigns. I have contributed to three published books on mental health and appeared in the media.

I work with individuals, brands, and charities to help them start an open, honest, and human conversation on the topic of mental health. I’m currently writing a book on post-traumatic growth to get the message out there, I’m represented by the fabulous Morwenna Loughman at BKS Agency. I love that my work has taken me to diverse environments - from multinational corporates to refugee camps and favelas.

I live in Hertfordshire so you will find me out and about running on trails in the woods, or when the weather doesn’t allow for it in the boxing gym boosting those happy hormones! I am a coffee and cake lover, avid book reader (love hanging at my local library) and I am a fantasy/sci-fi movie nerd. You can find me over on Instagram @ruthcooperdickson.
