Welcome to Coffee with Coops
Helping you rebuild and recover — one coffee at a time.
Coffee with Coops started from all those behind-the-scenes chats I have after workshops, webinars, and talks — the honest, unfiltered ones where people say, “I wish we talked about this more.”
I wanted an easier way to reach more people, beyond the room or Zoom screen. This newsletter is my way of sharing reflections, tools, and gentle nudges for anyone navigating the messy, hopeful path of positive psychology, Mental Wealth, and personal growth.
In 2023, I closed my corporate newsletter as CHAMPS evolved into Ruth Cooper-Dickson Limited. This space is more personal. More me. A place to bring together clients, readers, and the incredible humans I get to teach, coach, and learn from — yes, that includes you. 👋
Here, we talk honestly about mental health (or Mental Wealth, as I call it), share ideas, and explore practices that help us heal, grow, and show up as ourselves.
You’ll get:
Trauma-informed coaching tools

Positive psychology, you can actually use

A little about me
I’m an award-winning positive psychology practitioner, trauma-informed coach, and certified breathwork leader. I published research on coaching and post-traumatic growth in 2023, which is at the heart of my Thrivership Coaching™ model — helping people grow through what they’ve been through.
After my own experience of chronic burnout, panic disorder, and anxiety, I built a wellbeing business to change the way we talk about mental health. Since then, I’ve trained thousands, become a patron of the anxiety charity No Panic, contributed to books, appeared in the media, and partnered with everyone from corporate giants to charities, humanitarian aid organisations and favelas!
These days, I’m living my dream life by the sea in Westcliff-on-Sea, drinking a black Americano, reading in The Forum library in Southend, and chasing endorphins by running and sea swimming. I’m also a classical music fan and a total movie nerd (especially anything fantasy or sci-fi). I love acting and spending time on the mic as a radio presenter—it all ties into my love of stories, expression, and human connection.
Thanks for being here.
Love,
Coops☕💛
